Homestead's drive for a third straight appearance in the Wisconsin high school football Division 1 championship game received a little scare on Saturday. Homestead (11-0) advanced to the quarterfinal round of the post-season with a hard fought 14-8 win over
Milwaukee Marquette (8-3). Homestead plays
Racine Park (10-1) next week.

Homestead won the rubber match of the three-year battle for Wisconsin's Division 1 high school football championship. The Highlanders beat defending champ Arrowhead 13-11 Friday to win the school's second title in three years.
