Fox Valley Association Merges with Wisconsin Valley Conference to Form Super Conference

By a vote of 7-3, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control has approved the merger of the Wisconsin Valley Conference and Fox Valley Association into a football-only 16-team conference beginning with the 2011 regular season.
The league will be split into two eight-team divisions.
North Division
Appleton East
Appleton North
Appleton West
D.C. Everest
Kaukauna
Kimberly
Wausau East
Wausau West
South Division
Fond du Lac
Marshfield
Menasha
Neenah
Oshkosh North

The 2011 high school football regular season will start a week earlier than usual.
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control has approved a new schedule for next season that will start the regular season in the third week of August, which next year will fall on the 19th and 20th.
The change was made to avoid playing three games in a 10-day span at the end of the regular season into the first two rounds of the postseason.
