Homestead's run of Wisconsin Division 1 state championship game appearances ends at three. Saturday, Menomonee Falls beat the defending champs 27-7 to end the Highlanders 24-game win streak in the second round of the WIAA playoffs.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Menomonee Falls (10-1) was led by senior quarterback Max Poeske. The Indians will face Sun Prairie next Saturday in the quarterfinals.
Homestead, which finishes 10-1 on the season.
